Welcome to the website for the Rattlesnake Mountain Rangers, a new Cowboy Action Shooting Club.

We are located between Checotah and Warner Oklahoma just south of Muskogee, and shoot the first Saturday of the month.

The June 7 shoot at the Rattlesnake Mountain Rangers was performed to the best of everyone’s ability despite head-on hurricane force winds. Discussions were ongoing as to whether heavier loads would help the rounds go downrange far enough to hit the targets.  Still, a good time was had by all. Congratulations to Prince Charles for taking first place.  This was his first time at our range, and he sure seemed comfortable at the head of the pack. A special thank you to Oklahoma Bound for his enthusiastic commentary throughout the competition. He sure makes it fun for everyone and we appreciate him! Thanks also goes out to Muskogee Drifter’s daughter, Mariah, for doing a fantastic job at picking up shells. She knows her job well and goes about it without a complaint, saving the rest of us lots of backbreaking work. Hopefully the July 5th shoot will not suffer from high temperatures, and we get a great turnout. Thanks to all who helped make this month’s shoot a lot of fun.
